Why MOVE?
Many graduates in Iraq and Yemen face difficulties in finding employment because their skills do not always match labour market needs, especially in the private sector and in the field of agricultural engineering and environmental sciences.
MOVE addresses this gap by promoting stronger cooperation between universities, employers, civil society, public authorities and international partners.
Objectives
MOVE aims to:
- Analyse the relationship between universities and the labour market
- Align selected curricula with market needs
- Strengthen staff capacities and student skills
- Promote entrepreneurship and innovation
- Support sustainable development and the green transition through policy development and education for sustainable development
Our Approach
MOVE adopts a participatory and multi-stakeholder approach, involving universities, students, companies, employers, NGOs and local actors. The project works at institutional, national and international levels to strengthen higher education, improve graduate employability and foster long-term cooperation between academia and society in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and Yemen.
